Many sysex specifications use the same data locations to mean different things depending upon what other values are. For example, when the modulation effect is set to "Chorus", a certain location might be used to control the wet-mix and have valid values from 0 to 100. Or, when the effect is "Flanger", the same location might be used for the pre-delay, with valid values from 0 to 64. I won't go into the variety of problems that this presents, since most of you already know. What I want to know is: Is there already a standard way of handling this in JSL which makes the coding go smoothly? - Joe |
