Hi Everyone: This is just a short note to inform you that I've released todays nightly build of the jSyncManager, featuring the new USB sync support, to SourceForge. Those interested in downloading this new release should visit: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jsyncmanager Please be sure to read the release notes for the release, as there have been some changes from the previous releases. There is also an important issue that Linux users should be aware of if they wish to use the new USB synchronization mechanism. Note that USB sync support requires that you install the jUSB API for your platform onto your system. This is available through http://jusb.sourceforge.net. It is available for Linux, Windows, and MacOS at this time. Note as well that we're considering this a pre-beta release. There is still much work to be done before the next official release (currently scheduled for March 2003), however we felt that this release works sufficiently well as-is that we'd make it available to the public so they could test and use the new USB support. This also opens up the project to users and developers who, not having a serial dock or serial IR port, were unable to use its data synchronization capabilities. If anyone has any questions about this pre-release, please feel free to post them to our help forum on SourceForge, via the above listed URL.
