ok, this is first variant of translation.
In archive 2 files - in utf-8 and converted - which can be read by jsXe,
read their extensions.
But no all strings are translated because not all of them are in file
"messages" which i used.
What is not translated:
1) "Yes" and "No" buttons in dialogs.
2) Menu items - "Remove Node" and "Rename Node" in context menu of XML tree.
3) Label "Document Root" of the root of the tree - it must be in english
or it may be translated?
4) Menu items: "View->Tree View"; "View->Source View"
5) Global Options dialog:
a) In the tree - labels of "Tree View" and "Source View".
b) Tree View part of dialog - nothing translated.
c) Source View - nothing translated except some cells in a table such
as "CDATA section".
6) Context menu of the tree and element node in it - "Add->Element->Add
Element Node" not translated ("Add" and "Add->Element" are translated).
P.S. i used *.7z because SF don't want to accept *.zip

Hey Sagrer, In order for the messages files to work you need to run native2ascii on them which converts the extra characters into the correct \uXXXX format. native2ascii comes with the java sdk when you install it. Perhaps I should clarify that on the website. I'll make a note to add a better description. Once you have it installed, run: native2ascii -encoding UTF-8 messages.ru and then put it in the messages folder. As a note: jsXe's build process runs native2ascii to convert the files automatically. If you want, you could send the .ru file in UTF-8 and I could add it to SVN so that it is released with the next version. Let me know if you have any more questions. Hey Trish, Sure. The help menu is good. Right above the about option. While I'm here, thanks for doing the dirty files dialog. It works great. I made some modifications to it though: 1.) You only used it when closing out of jsXe. I enabled it when you chose the close all option in the file menu too. 2.) When the dialog discarded files it didn't call the closeXMLDocument method so some other stuff wasn't happening like saving the recent files menu and stuff. 3.) I fixed a few other bugs. All around good work though. I may have been over zealous. It's nice to have a consistent developer that actually produces code. Also, If you have any ideas about how jsXe should work etc. let me know or use the mailing list. jsXe doesn't exactly have very many users since it's not really easy to create documents and stuff. If you have some time try and use it to create or edit a some kind of XML document, like an XHTML page or something. One day, SOURCEFORGE PROJECT OF THE MONTH, One DAY! *shakes fist* Lastly, I'm gonna release 0.4pre2 here in the next couple days or so (I'm doing some testing). Hi Ian, I''ve been a quite busy lately and haven't had a chance to finish up the DnD stuff. I'm going to be out of the country until June 5. If you or someone else wants to get it rolling before I get back, all that needs to be done is that all the DnD inner classes in DefaultTreeView should be moved and patched in to the NodeTransferHandler class (the classes should be modified to use the TransferHandler when moving data in/out via drag/drop or cut/copy/paste). Hey guys,
How's everything going? I've made quite a few updates to jsXe this week.
I migrated a lot more messages to use the Messages class that Trish
wrote. Thanks to that functionality we already have a translator for
Swedish who translated the messages for jsXe 0.4 pre1. Patrik
Johansson is going to maintain a Swedish translation of jsXe for us. I
wasn't even advertising. Pretty cool I thought.
I also added syntax highlighting fuctionality to the source view. There's
an options panel where you can set what colors to use and whether it's
bold or italics. There are some bugs I'm working out with it but it was a
lot easier to get it in place that I thought it would be.

I made some edits to the Messages file for the release over the
weekend. I also added a new method today which basically
allows messages with parameters. Like "The file {0} has not been saved.
Save now?". Could you take a look at the changes and make sure they look
ok to you? Are there any design issues with the change? Also, have you
had chance to look at the new tasks I assigned to you on the project page?

Hi Ian, That's correct -- the NodeTransferHandler class doesn't have any effect on the existing classes or DnD functionality. Until I get everything ironed out with with the swing/custom DnD implementation, I won't make any changes to the DefaultViewTree class (i.e. setting it up to use the NodeTransferHandler). Aaron, That's the only one I impose on myself. I won't really hold you to it. Sometimes it easier to see whether something is an instance or local variable based on the name. Other than that I try to use Java's standard conventions. Fields methods and classes are named using Java's conventions (normally. I broke this rule somewhat unintentionally with the jsxeAboutDialog and jsxeFileDialog classes). If you think it would help then it's fine with me. I'd like to eventually allow users to customize that menu so they could have it or not based on their needs. Trish, I saw your update with the Messages class. Nice job. Thanks for doing javadoc for it too. A couple things tho. When you check in stuff to cvs, could you add an entry to the Changelog file? Hey guys, I added some files under net.sourceforge.jsxe.dom.completion but if you do a 'cvs update' it may not get them. I'm not sure why. cvs is wierd sometimes I guess. I had to check out the source again to get them to come down from cvs. Do you guys know of an option or flag to pass to cvs to get it to download file that were added by someone else since the last time you updated? Trish, Great. I have to admit I've been kind of negligent and haven't worked on jsXe in like a week or so. I was busy doing my taxes at the last minute here in the states. I'd like to check out your changes soon so let me know when you check it in. I updated the source tree a bit so that it's hopefully easier to check-out and compile. Do a 'cvs update' when you get a chance and read the INSTALL file. Let me know if you have any questions or if the documentation in the INSTALL file doesn't make sense. I saw that you tried to talk to me at about 6 or so (my time). Normally I'm home by then but today I went into DC to meet up with some folks and practice my Japanese. So that's a normally a good time. Maybe a bit late for you though ;) Unfortunately Yahoo and IRC are blocked where work. I could get around it I suppose but I haven't yet. I'm normally not working on jsXe during working hours anyway. I do read e-mail at work though. So it might be hit or miss communicating. If you do get the messages.de to work then let me know the name of your friend so we can give them credit. I sen this via the mailing list. With the swing TransferHandler it should be easy to do the following: * The user should be able to use the normal Ctrl-C, Ctrl-X and Ctrl-V keys on nodes in the Tree View. * An 'Edit' menu should be added to the Tree View.
