Hi I have just started using Jstock under linux and its a great program, but I have found that it calculates the purchase value slightly wrong. I an using UK pounds and the prices are in pennies. I bought 4191 at a purchase price of 178.914p. When you edit the line the transaction value is displayed as 749,828.574 (should be 7498.29 UKP rounded) but on the portfolio display its displayed as 7498.78 UKP 49p different.
In the options under wealth I have ticked "Show stock price in pence (cent) and stock value in Pound (Dollar)"

I know its only a small difference but it  just means things don't add up.

    Many Thanks

    Dave

I have just found out why I am getting the discrepancies. I was entering the Brokers fee and Stamp duty as pounds instead of pence hence the net value was wrong. Sorry.

Is great that you find the solution! :)

We hope you will enjoy using JStock, as much as we enjoy developing it.
