Okay, I have an <input:.. > tagset, there's already an <html:...> tagset... blah. We need to consolidate and clarify. cybermike and I were talking ealier today, and here's a summary of MY thoughts on the matter, largely determined after talking with him: I think we need a *single* <form: > namespace. This would combine the functionality of <input: > and some of the current <htmltags: > namespace. I think this new taglib should: 1) Allow creation of named forms. 2) Supply methods to map setting of properties of beans to input tags. (This is what my <input: > tagset does, although it only supports text, textarea, and select so far. Specifically: we need reset, submit, radio and checkbox, and dadgummit if file wouldn't be nice, too.) 3) Allow fields to be marked as "required," if Javascript is supported in the browser. 4) Allow fields to be marked as "masked," if Javascript is supported in the browser. (Very low priority.) Any thoughts? Epesh ----------------------------------------------------------- Joseph B. Ottinger jo...@cu... http://cupid.suninternet.com/~joeo HOMES.COM Developer |
