Is it possible to map color or intensities to a pmesh defined surface in jsmol?
Yes, see the documentation for Jmol at https://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs particularly:
https://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/docs/#isosurfacemapcolormappingdataset
basically any volume data can be both viewed as an isosurface or used to map another.
