    Certainly a good suggestion. The project isn't maven based
    yet, so we'd have to change this first, at least for
    uploading the artifact. I'll keep this in mind. Maybe I'll
    manage to do it for the 3.0.0 final release already. Don't
    have too much maven experience, though. Hints and best
    practices will be welcome. :)

    I would add that the project does not have to be maven based
    in order to deploy to the maven repository. Instructions on
    doing such can be found here:
    http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-ibiblio-upload.html
    I would be happy to assist, but they prefer that
    submissions be made by a developer on the project.

    I would also be happy to assist in making the project "maven
    based".
