I am connecting to an OpenSSH server: OpenSSH_3.8.1p1 Debian-8.sarge.4, OpenSSL 0.9.7e 25 Oct 2004 The code itself is wrapped up quite heavily within the jEdit Virtual File System API, so it is not trivial to show you the code that isn't working for me. I will attempt to produce a stripped down version that makes it clearer what is being attempted. Thanks for your help.
