All I am running the example code ScpTo.java. When I try and send a file to a host that my local machine can already connect to without a password. I just get com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Auth fail |

Is the auth failed due to key errors. I can login from my terminal to the remote server okay using the private key. |

Ben, I've noticed that if session.setTimeout() is too low and you do not get your connection withing that period, you'll receive and Auth Fail exception even though you timed out. If you have gotten such an error with http://www.jcraft.com/jsch/examples/UserAuthPubKey.java please check the format of your private key. JSch only supports private keys in OpenSSH format. Hi So my local machine is running OpenSSH_5.6p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8r 8 Feb 2011 And the remote machine is running OpenSSH_4.7p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8b 04 May 2006 So both machines are running openSSH. Is there a specific way to generate the keys?
