JRegex currently doesn't support quoting constructs: \Q
and \E. They are defined both in Perl and Java14
syntax. A simple test:

new Pattern("\\Q" + "boo" +
"\\E").matcher("Peekaboo").find()

returns true using Sun JRE or gcj and false using jregex.
