I am trying to use JRat to profile an application running on Jboss 4.0.4 and Java 1.5 under Windows 2003 server. Jrat appears to load successfully, but as soon as I generate a small amount of load with Jmeter I get "out of memory" exceptions for the heap. The max heap size is set to 1024MB. This is occurring under small amounts of load - 2 users doing 5 loops through a workflow. When I remove JRat from the start-up scripts, I am able to generate more load and I never get an OOM condition. If I shut down the JVM after getting the out of memory exceptions, the log file has an unexpected EOF and the jrat log says:
JRat:ERROR (Mar/10 10:06:58,193) (JRat-Shutdown) ShutdownRegistry - shutdown failed for Tree Handler Factory

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
