#1 swf header information for loading

I've been trying to use jpg2swf to dynamically load
jpegs into another flash movie (esp. because AOL can't
seem to view dynamically loaded jpegs themselves).
One problem I'm having is that the loadVars onLoad()
method can't seem to recognize the file size, and so
loading this "file.php?jpg=picture.jpg" file can't trigger
the onLoad to move forward.

Is there some kind of information that can be
built into the header of the pseudo-swf file in
order to convey file size? Something to this effect?
