I've been seeing some error messages coming from joe recently,
apparently pointing to syntax errors (?) in the syntax files.
I'm using joe from yesterday's CVS, and I think I can eliminate any old
syntax or config files being used.
If I do "joe test.pl" (test.pl does not exist), I get a bunch of
messages in the terminal as attached. (For the most part I only see
them after I close joe, though some of them destroy the title bar.)
When I do "joe test.sh", I get only one error:
sh 59: Unknown option
I can't tell whether it's coming from line 401 or from line 411 of
syntax.c. Also, a carriage return seems to be missing, though I can't
tell why the "\n" in the code shouldn't suffice.
I'm not smart enough to interpret whether the syntax files are actually
correct or not.
Thanks for listening,

Joe closed these issues in CVS shortly before I reported them here.
