I've just done it again... I had two copies of
joe running on the same file, and overwrote
the changes from the first editor with changes
from the second editor.
I'll try to whip up a patch that has joe remember
the last time that it knows a file was saved
(or opened), and complain vehemently if the
file has been modifed since, and you're trying
to save it. Either that, or you could simply
complain if the same file is being opened by
more then one copy of joe.
P.S. This isn't a joe specific issue, I've done
this a hundred times with 10 different editors.
Once bitten, twice bitten, thrice bitten, etc...
I've fixed this in the latest CVS version. Now if you
save, it compares the date with the original date on load
and complains if they don't match (gives the option of
overwriting the changed file).
Some people who use clearcase want the editor to check
the date once every second...
thx, much appreciated.
