No

How to reproduce:

1.start joe with empty file
2. type "hello" and press enter, so the last character of the file will be EOL (LF)
3. save, quit joe
4. start joe again with saved file
5. go to the end of the file and press backspace (deleting EOL)
6. save, quit
7. start joe again with saved file
8. go to the end of the file
9. EOL is still there --> bug

Sounds like you've got the -force option switched on.

No, does not seem so. My local .joerc has general -force off (this option has leading space) and only for several file types -- cpp, h, p, pas -- it has -force on (w/o leading space). But joe adds EOL in all files.

I'm not seeing this bug. Is the -force option enabled in your joerc file?

Nothing has changed since my last comment. I see this bug for several years now.
