I'm doing some research into open-source OCR software for my employer, a leading developer of commercial handwriting recognition solutions, and I have a question about the licensing of GOCR in relation to that of Conjecture. If GOCR is licensed under the GPL, and Conjecture includes GOCR's code inside of it, then isn't Conjecture violating the GPL, since by following the terms of the LGPL, I could incorporate Conjecture into my employer's solution, thus circumventing the GPL?
I thought I'd clarify this before making a recommendation to my supervisors!
Thank you!
