Hi all, In first, I am glad to say that the project activity grows extremely fast and I am not a single developer anymore. Patrick Bielen <bi...@st...> has joined to project and actively works on jNotes now. And I hope that there are more developers will join us soon, because the project is going to be more and more popular. We had 235 downloads at August (the lifetime monthly record) and already have 185 downloads for a half of September. Well, the development of jNotes2 is sped up and my JMHO is that we can drop out the damned "Alpha status" soon. Recently we have done a few big improvements - we've implemented the tools of control over the app (system tray icon), have fixed the I18N problems and a lot of the bugs. In addition, we've got five national localizations. Many of these things would be impossible if not your help and contribution. Thanks a lot to everybody! Now I ask you to help to make a decision. The fact is that the jNotes 1.0 and jNotes2 are quite different software. And we have to change the name, because there is annoying tangle with another software that called "jNotes" or "JNotes" (some Java stuff related with Lotus Notes). As SourceForge has not a way to rename a project completely, except for start a new one, we have to migrate to a new project. There are questions that I want to discuss: 1) Would migration promote the further project development? 2) There are some variants of project name: - InteliNotes - Notestopia - Memoranda - LineUp - Jot - NoteSoup - MyNotes - NoteBurn - Jilofax - Chronicles - ... oh no, "jNotes" forever! - ... your variant ... My vote is +1 for migration and +1 for "Memoranda" (thanks to Ivan!). Looking forward to your opinions. -- Best regards, Alex V.
