Thanks, I can confirm that jNetMap 0.5.4 does not work with that combination, but the latest 0.5.5 dev-release does. Give this a try: http://db.tt/jNmhqlgJ
... tells me that perhaps I should get my behind in gear and finally release 0.5.5 ;-)

I had the same problem, not GUI
the software apparently works, because open, but not show GUI
The solution for me was simple
-Just put the mouse on the icon in the taskbar, to show a mini window
-On the mini window rigth-click to show the options of window
-Select "maximize"
I launch jNetmap & it appears on the task bar, but no GUI is active.
All was fine last week.
Only changes were maps were on a network drive. (E:\jNetmap), that was that way for several days.
Thing that seemed to break it was me setting preferences to load perviously used files.
Tried all avenues of uninstall/reinstall, including Java reinstall & still no GUI.
Also unsure where all settings are stored to reove completely.
Win7 64 bit, jNetmap 0.5.4.
Please help.
Thanks
Phil.

I suspect that your Java runtime updated in the background. In theory you should be able to run something that was compiled on an older version with a newer version, but this is the second time that I've seen it break for that reason. Have you tried the latest 0.5.5 dev-release?

I did get it working by deleting a few files I found under
\Users\Phil.jNetMap.
I'm pretty sure it was related to saving maps on a network drive & having
them remembered, as I have another java based app that gets upset is I try
& save it's data outside \users\Phil etc....
I would like to try the latest 0.5.5, but have not been able to find it as
your dropbox link on this page, http://www.rakudave.ch/jnetmap/download ,
gives me an error message,
"There was a problem completing this request"

Hi, I have the same problem, I have tried the last version jNetMap-0.5.6-719-setup.exe, but it didn't help. It looks like to have not enough resources, but the both PCs where I tested jnetmap are with i5 CPU and 16 GB RAM. The both PCs are with Windows 10 Pro, with last updates and Java V8-341. Is there a limit to how many hosts are monitored?
Sure, Sorry to be so brief.
Java 10.0.1 (build 10.0.1 +10) amd64
Windows 10 Pro

Looks like that did the trick. Thanks much!

That's not a lot to go on... could you provide some more details, such as your operating system and what version of Java you have installed?
Tried to run jNetMap-0.5.4.jar and my system says The Java JAR fiel "jNetMap-0.5.4.jar" could not be launched.
I have OSX 10.12.6, JAR version 15.0.1 and java version 9.0.1
Seem to be suffering a similar situation.

Hi Phil
Hmm, would be interesting to know which ones caused the issue. Could you perhaps send me the log file (if it survived)?
As for the dev builds, dropbox indeed seems to be broken for whatever reason, so I've changed it to http://gofile.me/2tfn7/1c805pZds
