Hi All, Thank you very much for supporting the forum. I'm a newbie to JMTs. Sorry for the very basic question. I've created a very simple queue model using JSIMgraph and ran the simulation. All fine. I opened the jsimg file in a text editor to understand the code. Too many lines for a too simple model. I understand it has code related to GUI elements also. I went through the manual and discussions forum and understand that XML file has only the code necessary for simulations. On this thread - https://sourceforge.net/p/jmt/discussion/556279/thread/5d69c289/ two solutions are discussed about exporting the model created using JSIMgraph to XML file. One is "If you load a .jsimg file through the gui and try to run the simulation, a log file shows up saying that a .xml file was created in a temp folder." Second is "You can derive easily the simulator XML from the GUI one by copying in a new file the <sim> node and all its children (basically the sim node will be the root node of the XML file used by the simulator." I'm using Mac. I don't see the first one happening. I can't find tmp folder anywhere. I don't understand the 2nd solution, how to implement. Can you please tell me how can I export/save the model created using JSIMgraph as XML file. Thank you very much. -- Best, Sridhar Kumar Kannam. |

Dear JMT users, After a long wait of more than a year and a half Java Modelling Tools version 0.9.2 has now been finally released! You can download the new release here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jmt/files/latest/download?source=files The JMT teams at Politecnico di Milano and Imperial College London have made several improvements to the suite, here are some highlights: JMT: - Project upgraded to Java 1.7 - Upgraded installation to izPack 5.0 to support Windows 8.x - Default resolution upgraded to 1024×768 - Code improvements: deep refactoring, added maven support, added unit tests JMVA: - Users can now select any station in the model as Reference station (the station used for the computation of the system throughput and the system response time). - Code of MoM, CoMoM, and AMVA solution algorithms now included in the stable code branch JSIM: - New scheduling algorithms (shortest job first SJF, longest job first LJF, random RAND) - Class switching: an improved implementation (not available in this release for models with fork/join and finite capacity region). - Support for using a large number of classes, queues, and finite capacity regions in a single model. - Several statistics (mean, moments, ...) are generated for the performance indices (response time, number of customers, ...) with the possibility of generating graphical representations (histogram, density, distribution) for some of the simulation events. A new checkbox "“Stat.Res."” has been added to the window for the selection of the performance indices to enable the collection of these statistics. The collected data can be exported in CSV files. - New simulation control parameter: the simulation can be stopped at a user specified simulation time Enjoy! The JMT Team |
