May 10 Working through top items in todo list. Lots of web page updates... Jon says that adding the row of selections at the bottom of the mail window pushed it off his screen. On the Mac, this might be due to the size of the menu bar, but I'm not sure why that would happen on a Windows machine. The size of the JFrame is being limited to 800x600, but the menubar intrudes by 22 pixels (MacOS X). Have to fire up windows to see about that... Problem was the start bar at the bottom of the windows window. Size of PaneProgFrame, using DSD Steam decoder & Comprehensive prog: MacOS9 Metal 544 high MacOS9 Mac 585 high Windows Windows 580 high Windows Metal 599 high Windows metal hides the status JTextField behind the Start bar, so modify the code to save space for 25 pixels by making the max vertical size the screen size - 25. Edit in the Linux instructions. Also, make some changes in DecoderPro.csh and JmriDemo.csh, which Mike Davison had suggested changes for and separately updated. Update NCE decoder file. Most of the function mapping comes from the NMRA file, copied. Deviations are marked by comments. Note that the defaults for function mapping for D408SR are different, and this file doesn't represent that. ALso, the output colors, etc, could be labeled, and that's also not here. Start 0.9.3 update. Start new CD. How to check out source anonymously through pserver cvs -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/jmri login cvs -z8 -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/jmri co jbuilder Drop back to Classic to burn CDs using Toast (It wouldn't run under OS X). Removed the .DSstore, Icon, etc files by hand. Mounted OK under VPC, but wouldn't run! Turned out to be line ends in the .bat files; saved them again under BBEdit with DOS line-ends selected, now OK, but have to sort that out in the future. Made 5 disks from the TDK 80 Min CDR 32X thin-pack, no problems. Back to OS X, think of using it's CD burn capability. It burned an Imation CDR 16X 80 Min single disk OK. This has the advantage of being able to position the folders on the visible disk window, but probably need a better method to remove .DSstore, etc. Will try an ant target... Stopped by Jon Miller's clinic, after an A's game. He had Mark Gurries, Dean (?) and a third person there. Seemed to be going well. Some suggestions... Jon wants to use CV105 User ID #1 to identify Soundtrax models, etc. We clearly need a better way to handle that... -- -------------- Bob Jacobsen (Bob...@lb..., 510-486-7355, fax 510-495-2957) |
