Who am I?
-------------
- Hello, my name is Christian, I am a german student and program for about two years now. I normally use Java or C, depending on the importance of performance and the complexity of the project. However this is my first real self written project that big, before I only wrote either little bots making my life easier or competed in a challenge of NASA (became 2rd with my team).

Why did I write this program?
-----------------------------
- I always wanted to write a program allowing me to comfortable edit metadata of music with as minium effort as possible, and all the current MP3Tagger were either insufficient or did not deliver what I needed(an automated way to look up information in the internet), so I decided to write something myself. As a coincidence, every student needed to write a thesis paper in a subject of his preference, so I decided to do mine in my CS class. Fortunately writing a program was also accepted by my teacher.

About this application
------------------------
I recommend downloading the jar archive, you can run it if you have the jre installed(Can be found here: <http://www.java.com/de/download/>). The program does need write access to the mp3-files if you want to edit the tags. It also should be unblocked in your firewall options in case you want it to search for tags online. It does not need write access in its base folder, however it creates two files in your %appdata% folder.
+
If you want to compile the code by yourself, you can find it in the source folder. You need all files provided, I splitted them into their packages. In addition the JAudioTagger library is used. It can be found here: <http://www.jthink.net/jaudiotagger/>. The main method is found in gui.TaggerGUI. If there are any questions left, feel free to ask.
