[Jmol-developers] Compiling applet code with Java 1.1

The classes used by the Jmol applet have been changed to allow them to
compile using Java 1.1. However, one problem remains. Reading CML files with
the applet in Netscape (on Linux) causes an error "trying to enter monitor".
Does anyone know what might cause this error?

The applet works fine using the Java plugin in InternetExplorer (on Windows
2000), and all other features appear to work even on Netscape.

If anyone has time, please checkout the code, build it, and test it. I hope
few problems will be found, and a new version can be released soon.
