Yes, it's quite the pain. I don't think Firefox programmers will consider it a bug. The best thing to do is to create a web site and work with that. I think it's possible that an apache server on localhost might also work. Anybody know if that's the case? -- That if you access your local machine via localhost and an apache server, you can access files that are not downstream of the path of the HTML page?
