JMol being one of the select band of programs supporting CML,
we wanted to let you folks know about some downloads we have recently
made available at http://www.xml-cml.org/
1. A download of JUMBO3-J. This incorporates a 3D viewer which
uses Java3D from Allistair Crossley for displaying not only
CML files but a range of other common molecular formats. Because
of the use of Java3D, it has not yet been tested on a wide range of
platforms, but certainly works on Windows (2000). The download
includes a large number of CML examples.
We imagine that incorporating JMol into JUMBO3 would
be similar to what was done with JMVS, but have not
yet tried. Our release includes
the core source code for the CML classes
2. An extensive (and ever growing) FAQ for the use of XML
and CML. We warmly welcome comments and additions to
3. Also included is a demonstration of how CML can be dynamically
transformed to another XML language, SVG for 3D viewing.
