what are your targets for next release? Do you have things in mind?
I've been looking at porting my crystal structure patch from Jmol 1.1 to 2,
but you've done extensive and good work on the more clear class structure
for rendering which makes the port more work than I have time for at this

The target for the next release is May 12. This places the next release
about a month from the last. A month elapsed time is what has occured for
the last two releases. For the current rate of change, this seems
reasonable. Several bugs and feature requests have already been addressed
for version 3.
You were probably expecting me to name features to target rather than a
date, but I think it would be better to set a date and get whatever features
are completed into the hands of the users.
I have fixed all the currently reported bugs, and implemented all but one of
the requested features. It would be nice to also get the high-quality image
export in the next release, but I don't have an estimate for how long that
feature will take. Unless more bug reports or feature requests come in, I
was simply planning on doing some more refactoring before the next release.
The Jmol class, preferences handling, and atom typing all need some work.
