When I do that, I get callback messages coming into notifyCallback.

Are you should you issued

sync *

?

Robert,
I should have mentioning I am working with the application not the applet.
I tried enabling sync in notifyEnabled and adding a case for CALLBACK_SYNC
to nofifyCallback, but do not seem to be getting a message back when I zoom.

Is sync just for keeping applets in sync and therefore not applicable to
applications?
Thanks,
Joe

not specifically. To do that, set up a callback for sync and then sync the
applet:

sync *;set syncMouse;set syncScript
set synccallback "yourCallbackFunctionName"
