Otis, i found the file that gives error.
The URL is http://pinostriccoli.altervista.org/?p=6434 and check the button down tButilSDF e ch3clSDF. The second one gives me the error while the first seems ok

Pino,

Can you point me to the url of a file that does not load? I'd like to try to load it on my end.

Bob, it is an error when loading from server. Just server. maybe something wrong in header of file? I told for SDF extension or PDB. One file is ok, another one goes wrong. And i got the file probably from the same source,  or in the same way.
By the way, when i built my HTML5 pages i did it locally and always with firefox. I rarely use google chrome and never MSIE.Actually i am using 13.2.4, and just JSMol. I dont remember having problem in Jmol.

generally this comes from loading binary files (.gz for instance) locally. Can't be done in Chrome or MSIE. So always check Firefox to see if it's a browser issue. If it is, then just use Firefox for your local testing. Be sure to use the latest just released 13.x.7 files. A fix was made there.

Hi Friends. While updating my site to JSmol, i have come across some errors in
loading the files. For example files with SDF extension are loaded perfectly in
JSmol, some other files no giving messages of error, or format unrecognized.
The origins of files are presumebley the same. In Jmol no problem.
Same problems with PDB files: mostly are loaded but some give error format.
