JSmol is now MSIE-9 compatible. Note that for this you MUST have at least the following doc type on your page for that:

<!DOCTYPE html>

Otherwise MSIE will not go into MSIE9 standards mode, the <canvas> tag will not be properly created, and loading will fail. (I won't tell you how long it took me to figure that one out!)

Labels, echos, frame titles, etc. are all working nicely.

set antialiasDisplay is now working.

see http://chemapps.stolaf.edu/jmol/jsmol/test2.htm

TODO: binary (zip, openDocument, Spartan, MRC) file reading
TODO: more mouse actions (measurement with double-click, for instance)
TODO: further code optimization checks
TODO: file packaging for simpler, more efficient loading
TODO: animation/spin/vibration thread emulation

As a bonus, the fonts in Jmol are all much cleaner as well.

Some older browsers have disabled WebGL or they use software fakes. I had to force Firefox to allow it.  MSIE is not compatible. So you might be running into that, Egon.

If nature does not answer first what we want,
it is better to take what answer we get.
