Looking at my comment below out of context, I feel a need to clarify. I am EXTREMELY thankful to the dedicated core who have put so much into the development of Jmol. I have benefitted greatly from the selfless efforts of others.  I am also very aware that my request to move Jmol away from Java and to HTML5/OpenGL is not at all trivial. If no one wants to take this on, I will fully understand, and I regret that I do not have the skills to take this on myself. So please don't take this as a demand, but rather as a request/suggestion... As a user, I see this as the next big challenge for Jmol, but I appreciate that it is both big and a challenge.

our discussion should move in that direction?
