If I exit jmIrc and try to start it again, I get "Application error" and the only way I have found to use it again is to delete it and download it again. I am using it on a Samsung SGH-M110.

Strange update on this one. It turns out that the IRC menu item text doesn't match the menu items on my phone. E.g. to disconnect, I have to choose "close" which is the item above "disconnect" (or for that matter for "names" I have to choose "query"). When I choose the right menu entry (with the wrong text) to disconnect everything works as it should.
