#1 NullPointerException Saving Changes

After making some simple changes in the left pane, the
corresponding save button was enabled but I got a
NullPointerException when I tried to save my edits
(from JMergeWindow.save_actionPerformed). Also, while
the button was enabled, the corresponding left pane
menu item was not.
