I am very excited to see the jmdns - the only implementation of zeroconf providing dns-sd.
I am going to start working on service discovery within a large scale infrastructure of services which will be deployed on a Grid infrastructure. It would be interesting if jmdns could be used/extended to register and lookup the Grid services. And, can we use jmdns to discover services, which are being deployed on multiple domains? therefore getting it to the higher scale such as having multiple dns servers setup in hierarchical fashion representing countries and continents, whereby services will be registered to their domain servers and can be discovered by the clients in that domain.
