JmDNS is unable to discover services that use link local addresses (169.254.0.0/16). This means that JmDNS will not discover any services which use ZEROCONF to set up their network interfaces.
To be more precisely, it will not work if the client which uses jmdns to discover the service itself is not configured to use a link local address.
