#122 jMax 4.1 buffer index error - Mac OS X 10.4.2

jMax 4.1 use to work quite nicely in Mac OS X 10.3.x. At some
point, and I can't pin down the exact version, OS X 10.4.x seems to
have broken something. Perhaps some tighter security checking in
Java. In any case, attempting to start jMax results in a rather
immediate error:

Cannot launch Java application

Uncaught exception in main method:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 4 > 3

No crash log was generated unfortunately.
