Hi all - I've just started using JManage and am encountering a weird problem. I have my Tomcat 5.5.27 server configured per the documentation wiki, e.g. I've add the JVM options to start JMX remote on port 9999. I know the config is correct because I can run jconsole.exe in my <java home>/bin directory and view all the Tomcat MBeans using this URL
All to the good. But when I start up JManage and create an application using the exact same URL as above, I get a naming exception, specifically
INFO: Failed to connect. error=Failed to retrieve RMIServer stub: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jmxrmi
I've run JManage under debug to try and figure out what's happening. The code gets all the way into method JSR160ServerConnectionFactory.getServerConnection but does not find any JNDI information in the config parameters. OK, hence the NameNotFoundException. I didn't set any values in the java.naming fields in the app configuration in JManage, so I'm not too surprised there's nothing in the app config at run time. But I don't know what to put in for those values and the documentation page says I don't have to put anything in there. What am I missing here?
