Since jmanage seems very promising (is already able to display tabular data) I took the time to look at the more or less trivial bin/* scripts.
The proposal is, to let the user adjust env settings in
bin/setenv.sh and have a central startup script bin/jmanage[.sh], which does all the work. Furthermore it should be able, to start jmange at reboot (unattended)
and that requires the redirection of all output to a
logfile or /dev/null, if available. Since jmanage doesn't use slf4j or something similar, one can do that
using the OS facilities aka '>', etc. ...
I've attached a ready to use template for Unix/Linux.
Haven't used *DOS for more than 15 years and unfortunately forgot, how to batch program this stuff for that OS. So sorry for not providing an adapted *.bat script (but I guess, somebody is able to "translate" the shell script ;-)).
