Greetings All, I noticed some postings in the forum regarding current activity, and as part of my general push as of late into the frontier of knowledge management and learning systems, I am interested in the jLiveJournal project as well. I pulled down the latest CVS tree yesterday and it seems the build system / general environment is still a little chaotic / messed up. I am also helping out with the Symbiosis project, hosted here on SF, and the general code layout and build (also ant based) works very nicely. I am happy to transfer those capabilities into the jLiveJournal tree, if you are interested. Also, the code in CVS is radically different from that available in the distributions, and less usable. Due to the current state of jLiveJournal I am starting out with LogJam, for now, but would be happy to help make jLiveJournal just as good, if not better, than any other client out there, and would like to, if possible, make it interoperable with Symbiosis (which is not yet operable at all :)). -kc |

Hi everyone. I just joined. Can't help noticing that the last update to sourceforge seems to be January 2002. Is this still in active development? I'm a Java programmer in my day job, but this is my first open source project, so I'm not sure how to proceed really. For example, there's a few things I'd like to help out with -implementing "moods" in the client, maybe using xml for the configs (as suggested in the tasks section), etc... but I'm not sure how to go about submitting my changes. Any advice/guidance welcome. Cheers, Jeremy. |
