when I am doing a readline (or any other read)
it returns null, without even waiting for an input!
What could be the problem?

Not enough detail, old bug, many users on XP today.

I'm having the same problem on Windows 7 64 bits. The ConsoleReader.readline doesn't block and return nulls right away.
