Java Lines and Dots v. 0.40 source release readme
=================================================

This package contains the full source for Java Lines and Dots version 0.40.
Also included are the game icon and some scripts that are used to generate
the game executable/installers. The scripts are very rudimentary, but they
do their task, so I haven't bothered to write better ones.

The source code is licensed under the GNU General Public license, and you
can find a copy of the said license in the file 'copying'.

The source code itself is formatted for an editor/terminal with the width
of at least 120 characters (because I felt like 80 just didn't cut it for
Java).

And finally, here's a list of some of the tools I used for creating Java
Lines and Dots, and which might be useful with the source:
* Vim for editing (http://www.vim.org),
* various versions of Sun's Java Development Kit for compiling and testing
  (http://java.sun.com),
* Gimp for creating the icon (http://www.gimp.org),
* launch4j for creating the Windows executable
  (http://launch4j.sourceforge.net),
* Nullsoft Scriptable Install System for creating the Windows installer
  (http://nsis.sourceforge.net), and
* plenty of utilities from the GNU project and many other free/open
  source software projects.
The creators and developers of all these projects, and the whole open
source community deserves a huge "thank you" for making all these great
tools available for all the computer enthusiasts around the world.
Thank you.

Happy hacking ;-),
      Joni T.
