    which java
    /usr/bin/java

    java -version
    java version "1.7.0_10"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_10-b18)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.6-b04, mixed mode)

    setenv|grep JAVA
    JAVABIN=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.7.0_10/bin
    JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.7.0_10
    JAVA=/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.7.0_10

    So the requirements seem to be met. Other programs that need java don't exhibit any problems.

    The problem with JIN is that it seems to start up ok (the connection is made), but then does not accept console input.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello vp_nbi,
    I've also noticed strange behaviour in console in Tonic (it is similar software, derived from Jin). Right after start I can't type in console input, but after a while it is alright. I guess there's some problem with input field gaining focus.

    Is your problem the same I described?

    Cheers
