The Jimm project has just released version 0.5.1 containing some minor feature enhancement. Please read the README and CHANGES files included in the archives.

Jimm is a native ICQ clone for Java 2 Platform Micro Edition (J2ME), Mobile
Information Device Profile (MIDP) 1.0 and 2.0 . It supports the new v8 protocol,
former protocols are not supported. Special builds for Motorola and Benq-Siemens mobile devices are included in the release, as well as generic versions for all other MIPD1 or MIDP2 compatible devices.

Jimm 0.3.1 released

* NEW FEATURE: You can now add new groups
* NEW FEATURE: Users of the Nokia 6230 can now set the connection delay in the network menu
* Bugfix: Time display on message timestamp was not correct
* Bugfix: If you try to add a contact and there are no groups you can make a new one
* Bugfix: There is now a 100% unique ID created for new contacts and groups
* Bugfix: IDs created for new contacts/groups is now in the needed range
* Bugfix: Fixed invisible mode bug. Now invisible contacts are shown correctly
* Bugfix: Now it is possible to delete contact from contact list in Siemens build
* "Use cp1251 hack" option is true by default in the russian build
* Program asks user before exit if unread messages exist

Apart from bugfixes this new release includes the ability to search for users and add them to your contact list using Jimm on your mobile device. There
is now also sound support for MIDP2 devices.

Mobicq has been renamed Jimm

Because of trademark issues, the Mobicq project has given itselt a new name. 'Jimm', which stands for 'Java Instant Mobile Messenger', will undoubtedly prevent users from falsely believing that there is any relationship between ICQ Inc. and us.

Please update your bookmarks and all links you're responsible for to reflect our new webpage address, http://jimm.sourceforge.net/, since our Mobicq domains will be transferred to ICQ Inc. soon.... read more
