Use case: frequently, users (at least me... :-) ) want to be able to see which accounts had most expenses, and where most income comes from.
If the accounts in the Profit & Loss report are unsorted, this is difficult to see.
So I propose to add a drop-down where sort order is configured.
Once accounts are sorted by balance, it would be good if cumulative percentage of balances of previous accounts is also shown. This allows one to ask questions like "what constitutes 80% of my expenses".
So I created a patch that has a drop-down for selecting sort order, which can be:
- by account name (now also works for names as well as full path names)
- by balance
- by balance with cumulative percentage shown
To provide an additional column, I refactored existing code somewhat (previously, column indices were hardcoded in several places).
