[JGloss] Re: Invalid Dictionary Files?

Hello Rolf,

Thank you for your response.

I tried saving the edict file as UTF-8 as you suggest and interestingly,
while I'm now able to add the dictionary file without any errors, the
translation window is unable to properly show the Japanese characters (no
kanji, hiragana, katakana - just square boxes and western alpha-numeric
text).  I tried saving edict in other formats (JIS, shift-JIS etc) but these
other formats generate errors when I try to add the dictionary file.

The part I don't fully understand is why I am unable to use my old version
and old dictionary files the way I was able to in the past?
