Since there have been no releases in 2 years, is this project dead? Is there an alternative open source Java-related project that's still active?

Seems like Macromedia bought the Enterprise version rights and promptly killed the project.

  well, project being dead or not is not that miportant. it seems to do a lot of things, and if it's not bugged, it is enough.
