#1 Not thread safe

The multiple failures mechanism is not thread safe, in that if you have multiple tests being executed at the same time the assert messages will become convoluted and not exhibit the correct behavior. It also has an ugly design problem having to do with a few static variables that ought to be seriously refactored.
