I suspect that this may be causing the problem. The case-insensitivity is nearly fatal on a UNIX system. The OS X people are having a real hard time with that (in e.g. fink). There are way too many projects that assume case-sensitivity. Though why you would ever use case as your only difference in two file names is beyond me... As a former OS/2 user I gave a shot to using JFS between Linux and OS/2 for a while, but you'd be suprised how many times it will be a problem... It may have changed but when I was trying to do it, the amount of diferences between the two was too big. While the Linux code may have started life as the OS/2 code, it's diverged a decent amount since then... Tim Massey |
