We had a feature request to be able to darken the sides of a Pie3D plot. This helps with the 3D effect of the plot.

I added some code to the PiePlot3D to be able to do this.
There are 2 new methods:
setDarkenSide(boolean)
isDarkenSide
and made a small change to the drawSide method so that it worked with this parameter.

Hopefully you can incorporate these changes into your code. It could be expanded further to allow more flexibility on the amount of darkening to apply. It also only currently works if the Paint objects which specify the colors to use are of type java.awt.Color. I'm not sure how you would handle other types of Paint.

I've uploaded the modified PiePlot3D.java file with this request.

Thank you for a great product.

Alex.

OK, thanks. I've committed the patch for inclusion in the 1.0.7 release.
