JFortune is a JAVA Port of the famous BSD game fortune.
It is written in JAVA in an aim to make this great utility platform independent. It aims to mimic fortune as much as possible and maybe implement more fun features. Check out the homepage at http://jfortune.sourceforge.net.
The latest release (version 0.6) adds more options to jfortune. It also cleans up on the way jfortune handles the various options parsed on the command line by now using ArrayLists.
The source packages released contain build files for compiling jfortune with ANT.

I have added a couple of fortuen cookie files which can be used with jfortune. they will also give u an example as to how to make fortune cookie files recognisable by jfortune.

Hello all,
jfortune 0.5 is out. Those who use jfortune are strongly encouraged to download and install it since it cleans up on the code plus adds quiet some functionality. Check the changelog for this.
Enjoy this release...and oh yes...I am still looking for people who can help me with this project...so if you are interested..drop me a line.

I have finally managed to add all the files into CVS.
So now you can check out the files from there and start working with them.

Well...nothing much is going on right now but this is because I dont have internet on my computer in my appartment. I should get it on friday. I will be adding more stuff after that.
Oh and version 0.5 is almost ready to be released.
Also...if anyone is interested in working with me on jfortune, let me know and i can add you as a developer.

This is for those who havebeen trying to access the CVS tree.
I have not been succesfull getting the files in and i do not have an internet connecton at my home right now.
I will get one a week from friday and i will do the needfull over that weekend.
hope no one is being aggravated by this.

Now JFortune has shifted to SF and hopefully many better things will come out of this shift.
