I can specify if this is a vertical or horizontal group, and that's cool.

But I have zero control if the "expand/collapse" control should be in the top or the bottom of a vertical group.

I think a new attribute should be introduced for this to the <jt:group> tag. (If POI supports this, then I guess you should validate the attribute value and then pass that to the POI in the lowest level.)</jt:group>
