Jeti 0.7.5

removed "does not support formatted messages" in groupchat

Jeti Beta 0.7.3

The systemtray now uses JDIC, so it also works on Linux and Solaris.
An OpenPGP encryption plugin was added as a separate download, see plugins at the file list, see its release notes for how to install
The alert window has colors for different types of events.
The ability to use xmpp:// links was added. Sending of empty lines was removed.
Ctrl-t can be used to advance tabs and ctrl-shift-t can be used to go back.... read more

Jeti Applet updates

Jeti is a Java Jabber client that supports most chat features such as file transfer, group chat, emoticons, and formatted messages. It can be used as an application or as a Web applet.

The applet has be updated to 0.7.2, it now has https proxy support and anonymous login (if the server supports it, no public server has it enabled)

Jeti Beta 0.7.2 released

This Beta adds support for XMPP RFC 3920, SRV lookup, STARTTLS, SASL, Resource binding and session initiation.

Avatars are now also visible in the groupchat and on the alertwindows.

Some filetransfer bugs fixed, filetransfer should now work with other jabber clients

Bugfix for Gaim to jeti messages

Messages from the newest version of Gaim are not visible in Jeti if the xhtml plugin is on.
Download http://jeti.jabberstudio.org/xhtml.jar and put it in your jeti plugins folder and everything should work again

Applet 0.6.6

Jeti is a Java Jabber client that supports most chat features such as file transfer, group chat, emoticons, and formatted messages. It can be used as an application or as a Web applet.

The applet has now more configuration options, you can disable the menus and there is a new plugin to change the colors.
The applet can now be used as a groupchat only client

Jeti new releases

Jeti is a Java Jabber client that supports most chat features such as file transfer, group chat, emoticons, and formatted messages. It can be used as an application or as a Web applet.

Jeti was started in november 2001, but only recently added to sourceforge. The new beta release includes tabs on groupchats, clickable links in messages , improved groupchat signin and a change password menu.
